Default Mr Snappy our new corn

Got a call from the vet the other day offering us a hatchling corn. Went to get it yesterday afternoon and it has not stopped snapping and striking at us and even trying to hang on. Poor little thing is so scared.

He incubated eggs from a clients corn and this one was the only one that hatched out, he was not sure if it would survive - it took longer to hatch than usual i think. Anyways he contacted me and said he'd like George to have it. Atm its in its 1st shed so must be just a few days old, but by god does it have attitude lol!

Its so funny had it in our hands for some time and it was still scared. Usually hatchlings calm down after a few mins but this one - well!

So yes calling it Mr/Mrs Snappy. Once its shed will take some photos and get Tony to sex it for us.

hi hun
its always the same with corns
i found the best way to sort them out was just leave them on there own
for a week in a bizzy place like a living room and dont touch them
and it works for about 90%of them

Linny

Don't you think you have enough snakes now LOL.

He/she will calm down the more you handle it, as you know from experience.

Count your blessings - my corn snake is fully grown and when he goes for you he ain't messing about and you will need disinfectant and elastoplast. One day I'll buy some rhinocerous hide gloves and some valium and try to handle him enough to calm him down. Been like that since I got him, any and all bright ideas welcome
