Default The rescued beardie

So today i fetched home the beardie from the pet store i told you about. I tried to haggle with his price, but the shop keeper wouldn't even let me have him for even £5 less. Out of the tank i saw what a beautiful colour he is, a nice yellowy tinge to him. But he is very thin.

I mentioned in my post that it looked like he'd got a broken leg. Well when i got him home to give him a proper inspection, i saw it's not that at all. He has lumps where his femoral pores are supposed to be so i assume a fungal infection of some kind. If anyone knows anything about that, it would be great to get some info.

He's a shy little thing, and very clingy. He loves clinging to your arm when you pick him up. I've put in some food for him but he's only touched a few crix for now. When i payed for him the guy at the pet store said: "He was due for feeding today anyway, so he'll be hungry." Indicating the store owner hasn't been feeding him EVERYDAY!!! No wonder he's so thin!!! Bless him!

My cam phone's a little crap so sorry about the quality, but you can just work out the damage to his snout from MBD in this pic. He also has a little curl on the end of his tail, i assume from MBD too.

You can just work out the strange lumps on the underside of his legs. It's something i've never come across before, so any information would be great!

I'm going to try and get him booked into the vets this thursday as thats the only day off i've got.

Other than that, he's a very lovely boy and i feel much more at ease now i know he's going to enjoy a good life here with me and Terra ^.^

I'll try and get some batteries for my digi cam and get some better photo's soon!

Thanks guys!

I just gave him a quick bath as he's looking a little dehydrated. He didn't much like it, but he looks a little happier and perkier. He also showed me how stunning the yellow in him is when he was in the water. He's very pretty! I also noticed MBD has affected his front left leg as it's slightly bent and he doesn't actually walk on the foot, but the arm instead. Bless. I really hope that will sort itself out with plenty of calcium.

He is adorable and very used to having people around him. The pet store owner told me he come from an old man who was too old to look after him. He seems to really enjoy my company and will gladly cuddle up to me and fall asleep on my shoulder.

My other beardie, Terra, is too much of a wriggly *** for anything like that lol
