Default gecko help

Topaz must be about 18 months old. He dropped his tail (regrown now) propbably due to Lily biting him. She since does not live with him. He was frightened of her. Since the tail incident he has put on weight and looking great.
However, his biting is getting worse. I tend not to handle him too much (maybe this is why) as I don't want to stress him and him to drop the tail again. Plus his bites hurt! But obviously need to clean his house out and need to put him in another tub whilst I do this.
How do I tame him down?

oh thats no good hun!!! i dont know how to tame them down tbh as never come accross a nasty leo, i assume persistance.

If he bites and then gets put straight back into his tub he will associate biting as a way of going back home.

get some gloves and teach him whose boss!!!!

when i got mine i was bitten coz it was scared - well thats my assumption, but its been fien since it realised im not going to hurt it.
Id jsut say try and persevere with it and if it does bite try not to let is see its hurting you ( if you know what i mean) and it might calm down soon, try also putting something with your scent on in its home - that tends to work

all you can do is what has been suggested, fingers crossed he will calm down, but there is a slight possibility he wont, but dont get to disheartened if he doesnt

I have one a little like that, I find that placing your hand, palm up, in front and gently touching him towards the tail, makes him move onto my hand.

Once there, I cup him, so he cant see that he is moving, then place him in the new tub. I uncup my hands and he will either walk off, or I may need to touch the base of his tail again.

This kinda gets him used to your scent and the feel of your hand.

good luck !
