I'll give you a laugh did you know that you can buy and sell stick insect's on ebay as long as it's for live feeding. It's the same as praying mantis's Im getting a Chinese mantis oothea in the next day or so iv'e got a 20 gallon tub all set up so wish me luck as there could be 12 to 400 baby's

yes thats a loop hole they can sell them as live foods rather than pets - but it should not be allowed! if i find them selling stick insects as food then i complain to ebay otherwise next thing you will find is mice or lizards sold as pet foods

Thats not the point! and you dont know if people buy them as food,if thats what they are advertised for then thats probably what people get them for as they are cheap, But it should be stopped!

I agree but it wont stop them from selling them as food. I love My stick insects but it's all down to ebay it's their rule's not mine.

I bought a Chinese mantis ootheca of ebay they are also make up as food but I'm not feeding them to any of my pet's and when they do hatch I'll be selling them as pet's and then starting a small breeding program for a local reptile/pet shop near me

If peopel lke you dont buy them off ebay then they wont be able to sell them. so you are buying into the fact that they are selling them as food and agreeing to ebays rules. People that buy them as pets are just encouraging them to sell them more as food. Plus as they atre advertised as food you must be looking in that section so there fore encouraging them to sell more. Seller just wants his money and is breaking rules by selling pets on ebay, so will sell them as food. If you want livestock go to a pet store NOT ebay! if they die on the way to you you can do nothing and you are encouraging them to send livestock via post - you would NOT buy a snake from ebay or anywhere else and expect it send via post - or i should hope you would not
