Default my incubator

hi

this is my incubator

really easy to make and works like a charm

1. get yourself down to a pet shop that sells fish, put on a smile and ask for a poly box, they should get there fish delivered in one

this cost me £0

2. i cut out a large section on the lid and placed a piece of glass inside it for viewing purposes

3. make a hole inside the poly box for heat mat cable and stat probe to fit through

4. cut the plug off the heat mat and feed the wire through the hole, then reattach the plug,

5. add a shelf for your tubs to sit on

6. feed the mat stat or dimming stat probe through the hole

done

easy wasn't it

thanks everyone,

i looked into buying a proper reptile incubator, but the prices were to high, so for the cost of a matstat and heatmat this was the next best thing, and it works great.

i ran temperature tests and found that my shelf was best a few inches away from the mat, this gave me the best overall temp (depending on which style of tub i used)

hope that helps

Andy
