Default Stupid Things People Say

This is more for those of us in the trade but anyone could add bits.

Yesterday i had comments left by customers who really say the most stupid of things and thought it would be good to share.

1: A customer who has beardies and as far as i know had them for at least 3 months (i did not sale them). Called to say she was sending in her daughter to get a UV and basking light because she just done some research and realised they needed it.

2: The weekend a customer that has a BD brought back a stat saying to the person behind the counter (i was not there) That "Tony sold me this and im really angry. I have been doing some research and according to that i do not even need it. I want a full refund." The staff member did not want to argue (we have had attitude problems from this customer before) and gave the refund. I have now had permission from the boss to have a go at the customer a little more sternly than ever and able to refuse to sale her any further reptiles.

What experiences have you had????

OMG! 1) how the hell can you buy a beardie without LIGHTS!!!!!!

2 well yes had peeps like that before. but as for stats some say yes some say no, depends on your home and the set up. But good if peeps are gonna bring stuff back then refuse to sell.

What gets me is the peeps that have 1 reptile and KNOW everything about them and start telling customers info when they know NOTHING and then frighten customers away.
of the twit that says " years ago i used to keep/my friend used to keep a cobra" lol they dont even know what they are but think it makes em sound good,

OMG don't get me started

When people hear you keep reps....'ugh' is the response and they dismiss something they usually have not encountered!

or....'I hope you have them in cages!' -well no, vivs yeshonestly do they think we let them roam free round the house!

or...'well they carry salmonella', quite probably as do most of the animal kingdom, at least my reps don't sniff each others arses or worse still lick their own!
