I feed f/t to all of my animals except for a BP that will only eat live. My baby burm is on live, but i'll be trying to switch him to f/t this week. BTW, I think there should be a poll option for feeding both.

only ever feed f/t but if the need for feeding live for the good of the snake i would do so.

Don't keep snakes any more, but when I did I had no problem with it. With a large collection, defrost is obviously much more convenient, and we'd use freshly-killed for anything that wouldn't take defrost, but I have no objection in principle with live-feeding.

I've used both for different snakes i've had... so i agree with waltah there should be a third option. When i got my bull he would only eat live after he was out of the pinky stage. I could never get him to eat F/T. I had a corn that would eat anything i put in front of her and so i had her totally on F/T.

We only ever feed defrost, live as an absolute last resort.

F/t all the way but if it was life or death for one of my baby's it would be a different matter

you have never had a fussy feeder have you?? any snake is a hell of a lot more intelligent than you are making them out to be....they know the difference.

we do f/t(mostly), prekilled(a couple) and also live(1 on rat pinks only)....we just feed the snake what it wants to eat..... snakes only get injured by live feeders when it is done irresposibly... if you take the time to observe them while they are feeding(not the most pleasent but gotta be done) then you can make sure that no harm comes to your snake(wooden spatula at the ready). leaving a live feeder in with a snake is paramount to neglect IMO....

I have no problem with anyone feeding live if it is needed(and done in the right way)
