Hi Jenna

Thanks for the plug on the site!!

I can guarantee this works. Micros need moisture but too much humidity will cause condensation and drown the crickets. Keep them quite warm but don't put the potato over a heat source. Also keep the potato well away from the dry food as if this gets moist it will go mouldy which also threatens you're micros.

With this set-up all you really need to do is check them daily and change the potato.

If anyone has any questions on live food care/maintenance we're more than happy to help.

Tony

Carrots are good to avoid as if you forget to remove it they can get quite mushy!

Potato every time for us, these dry out rather than over creating mositure and value potatoes are really cheap.

I've been keeping my baby crickets (Gah! Thousands of them, everywhere! Crickets breed too fast) in a circular plastic container about as wide as a watermelon with a mesh lid. They're eating carrots, lettuce, ground cat food, and rolled oats. I give them calcium-fortified water gel stuff. They've got some cardboard to hide in. I've never done anything else and they're thriving.
