It is a nice size, I've always wanted a big tank. I was offered this one with hood and delivery for £60. Not really an offer I could refuse!

I've got the cat to stroke as well! Not much chance of the classic pose with it though, it attacked my nose for no reason whatsoever earlier on the little git.

Suppose I better update this!

I decided to give the malawis back to their previous owner and set the new tank up for snakeheads. Unfortunately the day I put them in, the tank cracked flooding the lounge overnight and killing 3 of the 6 snakeheads.

I've now got another slightly larger 6 month old custom built tank that I'm setting up and another 6 snakeheads coming this week.

Few pics:

OLD TANK 60" long x 24" tall x 18" wide, 94 UK gallons.

NEW TANK (STILL BEING SET UP) 52" long x 26" tall x 20" wide, 97 UK gallons

I'll update once the new tank has been finished.

Very young snakeheads. This species is Channa pulchra, a dwarf sub-tropical species growing up to 12". They're purely a predatory fish equipped with backwards facing teeth, the ability to breathe out of water and move across land. They will gain some colouring as they grow.

nice big tank,

was it the supports (blocks) that made the other crack?

hope it didn't cause to much hassle for you, i dread my tank bursting, 180 litres in the kitchen would be a nightmare
